        The long cherished dream of Visakhapatnam tourists to travel in vista dome coaches with wide windowpanes has become a reality. The Indian Railways launched the Country’s first ever Vista dome coach services on Visakhapatnam-Araku Valley route. The main aim here is to offer tourists to enjoy the scenic beauty, not only at the destination but also en route to picturesque Araku Valley. It is specially designed Vista dome air-conditioned coach, claimed to be a first of its kind on Indian Railways.


     The main aim of this project is to attract more tourists to Visakhapatnam. A unique feature of this Rs.3.38Crore 40seat coach is the double-wide ceiling passenger seats that could be rotated 360degrees for a better sightseeing experience. The coach has a glass-domed ceiling, automatic sliding doors, and a multi-tier luggage rack. The advanced features of the coaches are glass roof, LEd lights, revolving seats, clean coaches, good toilets and GPS based info system will certainly make it a comfortable and enjoyable journey for the tourists. The tourists can now sit and released in their seats and get a clear view of the breath-taking locations like Lambarigini,  Anantagiri ghat section, Borra caves and the tunnels along the route from the Vista dome coach. The tourists can have the panoramic view of the 128km rail route from Visakhapatnam to Araku Valley hill station. They can also enjoy the scenic beauty of the journey at the space in the end of the coach. The train will leave from Visakhapatnam station at 7:15 Am daily and the return journey will start from Araku at 4:00 Pm. So guys enjoy the trip and make it a memorable.
