         Kailasagiri is a hilltop park of Visakhapatnam. It was developed by Visakhapatnam urban development authority (VUDA) comprising 380 acres of land covered with flora and tropical trees. The hill at 360 feet overlooks the beach, forest, and the city of Visakhapatnam. The Government of Andhra Pradesh awarded Kailasagiri as “Best Tourist Spot” in 2003. Every year on average around three Lakh Indian and Foreign tourists visit this spot every day. To protect the environment, VUDA has declared the hill a zone of plastic-free. The ropeway offers a cable car route to the top of the hill, the first of its kind in Andhra Pradesh. It is one of the prominent hilltops with panoramic sea view on the East coast. It is an attractive place with the seven different viewpoints to enjoy the pleasant atmosphere and scenic beauty. Greenery and fresh breeze from one side and the beautiful hills around give a pleasant feeling.

            Kailasagiri was one of the favorite location among the filmmakers all over India. The main attraction of the park is Lord ShivaParvathi statue. The idol Lord Shiva atop the hill stands tall at a height of 40feet. The floral clock was one of the biggest of India with a diameter 10feet. The floral clock gives an artistic impression of the lush green patches on the backdrop of the ShivaParvathi statue. It stands as an attractive place. There was Shanku Chakra Naama which measures up to 40meters. It is developed by TTD and VUDA was one of the beautiful places. The attraction to the city of Density, the ropeway that starts from Appughar to Kailasagiri. It was the third route to the uphill. Toy train was one of the attraction operations at the hilltop. The compartments of the train are transparent glass at the top roof at side. The clear view is available from any location.
