As soon as you read or hear the name Vizag what pops into your brain?
For me, the first word would be….
The second would be..
Vizag is the home to many many beaches. And each beach has its’ own specialty.
I’m sure you wouldn’t disagree when I say morning jogs ending with garam garam chai and evening gossip sessions with your best friends over chaat at the beach are the best parts of the day for us Vizagites.
As the sun rises in the morning, the rays hit the water and make it shimmer like thousands of diamonds. The sight is spectacular. On a rainy evening or a windy morning, my most favorite place to be would have to be the beach. When I’m happy, when I’m sad, when I’m feeling a little bit wild; my go-to place is the beach. There’s something so calming and relaxing about the sound of the waves. Now, I know that not all of you who are reading this blog about the city of destiny reside here. This little section is for all you travel bugs who are planning your trip to Visakhapatnam. The tourism of Vizag has grown rapidly over the past few years. The most common places to visit would be Araku and the Simhachalam Temple. But if you’re an atheist or if you’re like me and don’t believe in religion, then the Simhachalam Temple will not be of much interest to you. So, let me give you a bit of an insight of where you might find yourself in complete serenity. Rushikonda beach is a must visit if you like to go a little further into the water than just your ankles. The tide is safe and you can just go for a nice little swim. But if you’re more into photography or if you’re a poser yourself, the beach at Diwis bridge is where you should go to! An adventure sports junkie? Then mangamaripeta beach is just for you. From kayaking to canoeing. You’ve got it all right there! Vizag’s tourism is booming right now. Water sports are being introduced, recreational centers are being built. With the development of the city, I’m sure it’ll turn into every traveller’s must-visit place very soon!
